My DIY natural beauty secret

Hey everyone! I just wanted to say a quick “Hi!”, because I have been working so hard on my blog’s look and feel and branding… DIY designing a header and logo and learning so much about how to design, and use the right fonts, colours, etc. And although I have been busy with my blog, I haven’t been blogging all that much!

I do have a few surprises in store for you – exciting stuff! – one of these being today’s blog topic…

I have been dabbling with the idea of starting to vlog (video blogging) for quite some time, with the crazy notion that it might actually be faster for me to say my say on video than typing the words out. After spending a chunk of the day filming and editing I’m not entirely convinced that is true… but it was a whole lot of fun!

Yes, lovely friends, I have started to vlog on YouTube! Eek! Yay! I can hardly believe that I finally took the plunge. It just took a little nudge from a wonderful and wise lady I connected with on Facebook, and my competitive streak gate crashed the party ? YouTube my natural beauty secret

I wanted to share a special time and money-saving secret I use with all of you. As a busy homeschooling mom this is something that has really helped me when I just do not have time for myself. You know those days where you are about to rush out the door, take a look in the mirror, and think, “what happened to my hair?!”? Or as in my most recent case, when you have a photo shoot planned with your dear friend who is relocating that very week but still manages to fit you in, and then unexpectedly bumps your shoot earlier! What do you do? You take it in your stride and head for the kitchen, because that’s where my secret natural beauty ingredient is found.

Now grab a cup of tea or coffee, pull up a chair and watch this video, it’s only 6 minutes so you’ll be able to enjoy your drink while it’s still hot!

I would love to hear what you thought of my first YouTube video! Have you tried this or any other quirky beauty hack? Share your story in the comments so that we can laugh about it together.

Love, Victoire

Thank you Taryn-lee. Yes, since adopting this eco lifestyle, and trying to “green” my life, I’ve discovered that there are quite a few common pantry items that work just as well as natural alternatives! xx

Great tip. I have light hair though. Would Corn Starch be better for me?

    • Victoire 2017-04-02 at 17:21

Yes Celeste, corn starch would be perfect for you. Otherwise, I heard today that someone used baking soda (bicarbonate of soda) and that it worked just as well. Let me know if you try it out and whether it worked for you! xx
